WTF Cryptos originally began, by me, on the website The Buzzkill Magazine. I wanted to share my love of cryptozoology and the paranormal. It was a short-lived series on the website as I stepped down from working for TBK. The inspiration was just because it was something I had become interested in over the years but was something I had used to help others that came to me asking questions. Having this fountain of knowledge in some a ‘different’ area has helped me with researching for my own stories, but knowing so much on things I may never use seemed like a waste so I began sharing what I knew.

If you do not know what cryptozoology is let me define it for you. Cryptozoology is a pseudoscience and subculture that aims to prove the existence of entities from the folklore record, such as Bigfoot, the chupacabra, or Mokele-mbembe. Cryptozoologists refer to these entities as cryptids, a term coined by the subculture.

The name ‘WTF Cryptos’ was one of those things I debated and since I have decided to bring it back, some, here I decided to expand the subjects and that meant giving it a new name…The Veil.

I do recommend you going over to The Buzzkill Magazine. The website covers a large range of subjects. There’s a little something for everyone, seriously! They do podcasts, awards, cover conventions, special appearances in interviews, and so much more.
