Doubled Newsletter Released !

I didn’t have much to talk about in February to do a newsletter. The big news was in the previous month, January, with the re-release of Maxwell Demon and The Blasphemer Series as it was taken up by Burning Willow Press, LLC. News of it being signed has been blogged and shared across the social media-verse.

I decided because Febuarary was relatively quiet to combined what little went on in the March newsletter making it a two-month newsletter. In the one that released earlier today was information about the website that has had a makeover, some exclusives, and a more private blog post. One of the exclusives being a freebie copy of The Painting of Martel restricted to just the newsletter subscribers.

I had mentioned long ago that time to time I’d release short stories as newsletter download subscribe bonus. I did that this time. I hope in the future that more stick around to gain access to all that my newsletter has to offer. I am working on more things to reward my supporters.

Award-winners Announced

Yesterday, Saturday, it was announced the winners of the Author’s Excellence Awards. This is something I had to submit a story to and I choice Human Ouija as this is one of my works I’m most proud of. Months went by from my submission until yesterday. I had even forgotten they were going to announce the winners until someone mentioned it randomly.

I went over to check and saw posts where those that had submitted or were curious were asking about the posting, when it would be up, or even who were winners. I then saw it!

I want to congrats the other winners, of course. This is an honor. Thank you also to those that have shown their support and that have congratulated me. I was contacted and congratulated privately. I was also asked for my address because I’ll be receiving a trophy. I got excited knowing I’d be getting a trophy. As a child, I won things for poetry, but my parents were unable to afford the trips or trophies. So this trophy will be my first physical totem of my accomplishments of this kind.

When I get it I’ll take pictures to show as well. The one attached to this post was taken by one of the organizers to show the winners what they will be getting and not one I personally took.

Darkness Dwells Podcast

Last night, I had the pleasure of getting to sit down with Jason White of Darkness Dwells Podcast and talk about many things. We talked The Blasphemer Series, my upcoming release of the short Human Ouija, the indie business’ professionalism, and much more. I have to say Mr. White was very professional and this is the type of podcast level of professionalism that anyone would desire and because of this I decided to talk about the podcast, what it’s about, and help those out there in the horror genre that’s may have been looking for a place to promote. It’s important as indies that we help eachother and ya’ll know I’m all about helping my fellow indies out.

Darkness Dwells is a blog and weekly podcast hosted by horror authors Jason White and Michael Schutz-Ryan. They have a wide variety of topics they cover within the world of horror, from authors to covering horor genre movies, this is definately a one-stop-horror-shop type of podcasts giving its listeners more than enough entertainment to sink their fangs into. I’m going to definitely start tuning in, I am a huge fan of podcasts.

You can find them around the web on the usual social media hot spots, Twitter, Facebook, and of course they even have a website that contains more information about them.
