Essay V — Believing Is Seeing

We are told not to trust our eyes anymore.

When a woman is killed, we are instructed to wait. To withhold judgment. To allow the narrative to form. Evidence exists, but meaning is delayed—until authority decides what we are permitted to believe.

Religion trained us for this.

Seeing is not believing.
Believing is seeing.
